Renewed support for vital cleft research group

The Scar Free Foundation has committed to fund the work of the Cleft & Craniofacial Conditions Clinical Studies Group (CCC CSG), in partnership with the Craniofacial Society of Great Britain and Ireland, for a further three years.  Part of the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network for Children, the CCC CSG provides cleft and craniofacial researchers with advice on study development, at any stage but in particular at the initial stages of planning and study design.

Group members have a wide range of expertise in cleft and craniofacial surgery and medicine and include surgeons, speech and language therapists, clinical psychologists, geneticists, orthodontists and active researchers.

Our support of the group’s is part of our commitment to ensuring value in research. We are committed to activating and for advocating an environment where clinical research can take place effectively. We fund work but also seek to support and influence the community through an emphasis on reducing waste in research, sharing data and developing methodologically sound research which addresses patient needs.

We strongly recommend that anyone wishing to undertake Cleft and Craniofacial research contacts the group. For more information please visit http://craniofacialsociety.co....
