This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of organisational activities, engaging stakeholders, and advancing the charity’s research and funding initiatives.
You’ll provide support across admin, research, events, and fundraising. You’ll be a confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, and you’ll use your experience in administrative roles to be a fantastic organiser and multitasker.
Essential skills and experience for this role include:
- Proven experience in administrative roles, with excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft and proofread documents to a high standard.
- Confident and professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general IT systems.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable approach, able to juggle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
This is a permanent contract, which pays £24,000 to £30,000 FTE per annum depending on experience. You’ll work 35 hours a week, and get 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays and extra days between Christmas and New Year.
You must be based in the UK but will work from home, meeting with the team up to twice a month in London. Some occasional travel is required, such as visits to our research programmes in Swansea, Birmingham, and Bristol. Your travel costs to all meetings above are covered by us.
During your induction, you will need to spend some additional time in London so we can make sure you have a proper Scar Free welcome! After that, you will work remotely within the UK.
