Appointment Of Chief Scientific Adviser

We are delighted to announce that Professor Paul Stewart has been appointed as The Scar Free Foundation's Chief Scientific Adviser.

Professor Stewart is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Medicine & Health at the University of Leeds. He is also Non-Executive Director and an Honorary Consultant Endocrinologist at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

As the Chief Scientific Adviser, Professor Stewart will assist and advise the Research Council, our Research Chairman and the Board of Trustees on new research programmes, applications and opportunities.

Professor Stewart is extremely well placed to offer the support and guidance required for this role. He will bring his clinical expertise, and experience of authorising over 300 original peer-reviewed publications, to ensure that the research we support is of a high-standard and is in line with the Foundation's research strategy.

Commenting on his new role, Professor Stewart said "I am drawn to and impressed by the Foundation's audacious scar free ambition; this is such an important cause that I am looking forward to supporting".
